Ingredients

  • For the Strawberry Syrup:
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • For the Cold Foam:
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp strawberry syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 tbsp milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • For the Latte:
  • 1 cup brewed strong coffee or 2 shots of espresso, chilled
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy), chilled
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. 1. Combine strawberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until sugar dissolves and strawberries soften (5–7 minutes). Mash mixture to desired consistency, then strain and discard solids if needed. Cool completely.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, strawberry syrup, and milk. Whisk or use a frother until soft peaks form (5–6 minutes).
  3. 3. Fill a glass with ice, then add chilled coffee and milk to the tumbler. Stir in 2 tbsp prepared strawberry syrup.
  4. 4. Spoon or pour cold foam gently on top of the latte. Serve immediately.

Notes

Strawberry syrup can be refrigerated in a bottle for up to 1 week.
Use a handheld milk frother for quick cold foam.
Adjust syrup quantity per taste for sweet preferences.
