Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ Tablespoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
  • 3 ounces strong brewed coffee or espresso (2 shots)
  • 2 Tablespoons vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 4–6 ounces milk (whole, 2%, oat, almond, or cashew milk)
  • ¾ to 1 cup ice cubes

Method

  1. Make the Vanilla Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and alcohol-free vanilla extract. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cool completely. Brew Coffee: Prepare strong coffee or espresso. Assemble the Latte: Add 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup and half the ice cubes to a glass. Pour in brewed coffee, then top with remaining ice and milk of choice. Stir well.

Notes

Store vanilla syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Adjust syrup to tailor sweetness.
Use refrigerated milk for a richer texture.
Non-dairy milks may affect creaminess and sweetness slightly.
